MEMPHIS -- Tommy Armour III was 1-under heading into the 18th hole and seemingly going to hold a two-stroke advantage after two days at the Stanford St. Jude Championship. But a double bogey at the last hole dropped him into a share of the lead with five others.

After shooting 69 in the first round and sitting in a tie for 11th, three players catapulted up the leaderboard into a tie for first on Friday. With second-round 68s, Michael Bradley, Jason Dufner and Dean Wilson all moved into the top spot in Memphis.

Gavin Coles made the biggest leap of the day thanks to a 6-under 64, the lowest score on Friday. Marc Turnesa moved up three spots to round out the players tied for the lead at 3 under.

Boo Weekley, the first-round leader, went the wrong direction. He made three bogeys and a double bogey late in the day and dropped into a tie for 14th at even par after a 5-over 75.

Sitting just one shot off the lead is Vijay Singh, the highest-ranked player in the field from the Official World Golf Ranking.
